THE NEW SONY A7R V

Almost 70% of my portfolio is been taken with the Sony A7R, starting with mark II all the way till to this launch for the remarkable mark V. When Sony gave us the brief about the camera I really wanted to showcase its capability in a place that I really love and reflects the Egyptian culture. I decided to shoot my assignment in the Nubian village which is located South of Egypt with me Farida Bustani and Remon Elmarkiz.

The assignment was about the Nubain culture and how the camera was able to function to its full potential l. My model is from Aswan and we usually work together whenever I visited, so it was a challenge this time that we wanted to do something special and different, the white cloak and the hoodie with accessories was inspired by the series “Ring of Power” yet sticking to the colors and patterns of the local time.

My honest opinion of the camera is that is another breakthrough from Sony, they keep giving us more and more features so we photographers can focus more on creativity and getting the right frame. My goal next year is to make a portrait series if the region with the new A7RV.
